this week, nishi-kun tackles: the opening of animate, and once again, i come in late for the week ^_^;;

i'm really starting to get angry at myself for osting these rants so late in the week. it'd help if i got some more decent topic choices from my readers out there (so far, all the suggestions i have gotten are from the editors themselves, and they don't really count, since all of their suggestions are better suited to full-length articles versus short little one minute rants ^_^;;). so please, if you have a good idea for something to write about, please send it to jnishi@aol.com. i don't want to have to resort to bribery to get topics out of you readers, but it may have to come to that, soon...

anyway, this week's rant will be short, as i plan to have a full article about animate's opening day done sometime before the year ends (of course, my plans always get shot to hades, so it'll probably be done sometime within the next 400 years).

all i have to say is, if you are in the los angeles area and _haven't_ visited animate yet, please do. the place is a goodie heaven ^_^. there are so many items there that any otaku would love to have that it'd be silly not to go over there and oogle them. vash shades from trigun, evangelion car shades (which i am about ready to consider buying ^_^;;), lami cards,
manga, cds, import this and that, etc. their slogan is "your favorite space for your pleasure and dream". i don't doubt that for a second ^_^.

but be forewarned. since everything in the store (and i mean every last item) is import, if you plan to buy anything, be prepared to spend a pretty penny. the stuff's all nice. it's just going to cost you ^_^. at least they accept credit cards, so you can go into debt to buy all that lovely stuff you want ^_^

did i mention all the stuff's cool ^_^.

see you next week, if all holds well ^_^
