I've been watching a lot of these videos lately. This week they've been mostly covers of "only my railgun", with occasional X-Japan.
Sometimes I worry that my sense of what's weird or unusual is totally destroyed. I'm totally accustomed to the subculture of people who dress in skirts and play rock covers on YouTube. I don't worry about questions like whether tissue-hime is a guy or girl. It's just part of the landscape to me.
But hey, the reactions that I've seen to the video have been overwhelmingly positive. I think people are used to eccentric behavior nowadays -- mostly they're just impressed at his bass skills. Maybe the whole thing isn't as weird as I thought. Besides, hjfreaks looks like he's having so much fun.
