So, you may have noticed we're not a news outlet. I
regularly post about stuff that's several years old, just in that part of the curve where it's trendy for no one. (What Momus refers to as the "anxious interval", going on to describe it as the "temporal equivalent of the uncanny valley.")
Anyway, not being a news outlet, I have the privilege of pointing and laughing when I see the news outlets doing something silly. Attend: AnimeNation and Anime News Network both publish a story based on the same source. Anime News Network uses the headline "
Apocalypse Meow Manga to Get CG Anime Series from Anima", while AnimeNation adopts the punchier "
Cat Shit One Anime Announced". (The original title appears to be
Cat Shit One, thank you very much.)
I think they're both silly, especially considering that I find the original source almost incoherent. Personally, I think
Apocalypse Meow might even be a better title. Doesn't change my relentless concern for textual authenticity. Or my general disdain for people who express themselves solely through obscenity.
