Yuki Kajiura performs during a Friday concert at Anime Expo 2003.Anime Expo 2003
July 3-6, 2003
Anaheim, CA

At an anime convention such as Anime Expo, fans can find many different things to spend the days doing.

Many of the fans choose to hit the video rooms to watch the latest shows that Japan has to offer. Others go to industry panels to find out what series the companies will offer in the years ahead. Yet others will attend workshops on how to perhaps get into the industry, or at least make a strong impression in the fan community. And yet others participate in the variety of contests that the convention has to offer in categories such as making music videos, building models, or singing karaoke. And of course, one cannot forget major special events, such as the opening and closing ceremonies, the charity auction, and concerts, such as the one Yuki Kajiura gave this year at Anime Expo, and that Yoko Ishida gave last year.
